ICS share in ubuntu - I dont understand :-(

My understanding of setting up ICS is to use firestarter. Yes I've tried to se that up but problems recurring each time.

I have ubuntu desktop connected to internet trhough router via eth0.

I want to configure firestarter to share the connection via Wlan0.

Can anyone explain to me the process of making this work, as in setting up the SSID etc so that all I have to do is use my other devices around the home to connect to internet trhough ubuntu desktop.
