... Multi vs Single Threading Process - Help Needed! ...
Hello,
I currently own a CentOS 32Bit 5.2 machine with 4+ cores (Xeon). It is already on a SMP kernel. I am running processes that are not multithread compatible.
I heard from other people that there is some sort of layout out there that can spread the load out for "non-multithread'ed" processes to many cores. Is this true?
Currently the processes I run, when in use, use up 100% of one core and do not proceed onto the next one. Yes this is the fault of the application, but there must be another way other then recoding the application to support it.
And help would be appreciated. Thanks ahead of time!
Thanks,
