Is it Possible?
.. To network vista and a linux distribution to share files by using windows explorer and the linux networking service? I want to download on my linux computer and be able to view files on my vista media center.. anyone? I have seen various videos and techniques but none of them seem to be as simple as per say networking two windoze computers and using windoze explorer..

Install and configure the Samba server on your linux system. Then, windows can access/mount those network folders without any problems. You can even assign a drive letter to them. I do that all the time and share files between my Windows and Linux systems without any difficulty.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
