L2TP address pool
Hi,
I am confusing about the L2TP address pool. I am making a L2TP/IPsec tunnel. After L2TP connection is made, the L2TP client is assigned a new IP address.
But after new ip addresses are assigned, how about the source and destination address of the packets?
My understanding is as follows:
1. In IPsec packets, the source and destination addresses are the original addresses (not the addresses assigned by L2TP).
2. In L2TP packets, the source and destination addresses are the addresses assigned by L2TP.
Can anyone tell me if my understanding is correct? How about packets routing?
Thank you.
Max
