LAN Connection
Hi,
I'm having trouble establishing a LAN connection with my home computer. I need to know the commands neccessary to activate or setup a LAN connection with a server. I forgot how it was done, I think I know it was something like (after logging in as superuser) /etc/init.d/wlan0 start; but I've tried looking and executing through every command I found in my console's history and wasn't able to come up with anything.

That command didn't work, it said there was no such devices. I'm starting to hate Knoppix, everytime I restart the internet lan connection suddenly severs.
