    Yeah, I think you are totally correct. Sorry about that, I was focussed on totally the wrong thing.

    It looks like your network isn't starting properly, or taking too long, there are other errors earlier in the logs related to this. (hex keys, autofs etc)

    Unfortunately I don't know enough about this to help.

    Maybe try posting in the SUSE or networking forums? It doesn't look like a squid problem at this stage though..

    The issue completely disappeared after installing yast2-squid.
    My /etc/squid.conf is still the same (unchanged).
    I have no clue what yast2-squid, but I have immediate internet access after boot.
