network problem in redhat 9.0
Hi,
We are encountering network problem in redhat 9.0. We are using machine of following architecture:
cpu: 1ntel core 2 duo @1.86Ghz
mother board:ASUS P5LD2-VM SE
CHIPSET:INTEL (R) 82945G chipset family.
when i try to connect our linux machine with another network system ,it failed to connect with that machine.
when i execute ping command in the terminal, it replies network not reachable
Can any one provide the steps to configure the network setting to enable browsing?
when i type /sbin/ifconfig command ,it displays only the IO where eth0 was absent.
could i install the network adaptor driver for linux?
If yes, can you provide me the URL .
I will be thankful to you.
regards

the network driver are available on the manufacture's website. You will have to compile them and install the modules. It is simple just go through the readme file along with the driver's file

red hat 9 is obsolete, you will likely have less hardware problems if you install the latest fedora core or centos
