Connection to a wireless network and the internet

I am using Mandrake 10.0 on an HP computer. I have the operating system installed and dual boot with Win XP. I have a Blitzz wireless router and a DSL modem. The router is hooked to the computer with the ethernet connection and the modem is connected to the router. I have another computer that also shares the internet connection with a wireless adaptor. The wireless network works fine in Windows but I cannot seem to make it work in Linux. During bootup with the verbose bootup enabled it fails to load the etho(0). What does that mean?

Does anyone have any idea why I can't access the internet through this connection?

    Thanks for any help.

    two things:
1)what is the error message exactly?
    and
2)What type of wireless card are you using
    thanks
