hi all, I am using ubundu live cd.I need to create a shared folder using command, becaues my display is not suppored GUI mode.So any one help me for this regard is highly appreciated..

If you want share folder between users then change its permissions using chmod command.I need to create a shared folder using command
Why its not supported? Any error message?becaues my display is not suppored GUI mode
Which Graphics Card do you have?It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

devils is right about the video card. If you would give us some more information their is probably a somewhat easy fix to get it working. When you say shared folder do you mean a shared folder for other linux users or windows users. Because if it is linux users devils is right again. But if you are trying to set up a share with windows users you need to look into samba. Samba will allow you to make public shares that windows users will be able to see. There is a lot of information on how to set them up from the command line so i wont bother to post it. Just google samba server in ubuntu.
