    GRUB Geom Errors

Using Fedora 2's GRUB stages, I created a standard boot disk (w/no fs). Whenever I use this disk, I get the error "grub stage2geom error."

I created the same disk in Debian, no problems at all.

I've experienced the exact same error message with RH ES 3. Any ideas on why this is the case?

I found something similar, and so added the hda= parameter to the kernel line in grub.conf.

    kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.5-1.358 ro root=LABEL=/1 hda=38792,16,63

Use Suse 10.1 and occasionally play with Kubuntu
Also have Windows 98SE and BeOS
