Record Route (IP)?
Hi everyone:
It is my first time in this forum so first of all I apologize in case this thread is not written in the correct place.
My knowledge in Linux is not as good as I would like so I ask for your help to solve my problem
Reading the RFC 791 on IP, there is an option in the IP header called "Record Route" which if enabled stores the route a datagram has followed from the origin to the destination. Does anyone know if there is a simple way to enable this option (by means of a shell command or sth similar)? or do I have to work in the linux kernel?
Thanks in advance!
