internet connection woes?
Hi experts,
My network computer install window xp(host) and also install CentOs(5.2) in VMware (1.0.7). I have internet connetion in xp but not in the linux.
In vmware I selected ethernet (also i checked 3 options like bridged ...)
eth0 is [OK] while os was loading.also checked both options static and dhcp. but still the problem continue....
plz clarify my question?

Which type of ethernet connection did you create for the VM though? NAT or bridged? If you selected bridged, this means it connects to the same network as the host, so if that network doesn't have a DHCP server, you will need to assign it a static IP in the guest OS. NAT should "just work" for the most part. I wouldn't be surprised if the vmware 1 driver didn't work in centos5 though as well.
