    Modem NOT Detected By Red Hat Linux 9.0

    I am using Red Hat Linux 9.0 dstributed by Digit Magazine on my P4 system with an Intel 845 GL motherboard. I have a D-link PCI modem & have also installed the driver using the RPM. But, when i try to set up an internet connection, i get a meesage:"No Modems Were Found On The System".
    Somebody PLEASE help me.

    have a look at the (rather old) tutorial about Linmodems (in this site) and see if any of the display commands help).
