    wlan0 Current mode:off

This just needs to be changed to on please help. I have asked many other forums no one can answer or at least ask me to Google it, just give me a reply of some sort so to know that there is a answer to my question.

    What distro are you using?
Have you read the manual for ifconfig? The commands you are using aren't in there. I have turned them on and off with
    [root@Jupiter ~]$ iwconfig wlan0 up (or down)
You might need to use iwconfig to set the mode. When the NIC is down, do
    [root@Jupiter ~]$ iwconfig mode Managed
    These require root priviledges.
