Newbie network insight needed
Hello all, I have a question I hope you can help me with. I have Suse Linux 9.1 installed and running on my computer. My Linux machine has access to a Windows domain.
When I'm browsing the network I can see all the Windows computer's in my domain but when I double click on one it asks me for a username/password. I have tried my admin password from the Windows domain, yet no passwords seem to work. What's missing from my setup? What must I change so that my Linux computer can share and view files on my Windows machines. As a note I'm not looking for the Windows machines to share from or see the Linux box if that makes things easier.

When you originally set up file sharing, did you set up a password on it? and did you try any other windows users/passwords other than your administrator account?

i was asking if you remember ever setting up passwords when you created the shares and was asking if you had tried the passwords for any of the other accounts besides admin?
