    linu-wlan post configuration problem

    Hi,

    I just installed linux-wlan0. No problem for kernel complie, install, wlan compile, install.

    I followed the instruction to do post configuration of my USB wireless adapter. But it does not work

    Only the last step I can not follow exactly, which is
    "ifconfig wlan0 <address> ... "
    Because it is dhcp, I do not have a IP address.

    here are the things I had,
    ================================================== =====
    $tail /var/log/messages -f
    .....
    Nov 4 04:33:35 localhost /etc/hotplug/usb.agent: ... no modules for USB product 67c/1022/132
    Nov 4 04:33:38 localhost /etc/hotplug/wlan.agent: WLAN wlan0 brought up successfully.
    Nov 4 04:33:38 localhost /etc/hotplug/wlan.agent: WLAN bringing up layer 3+ with /sbin/ifup
    Nov 4 04:33:38 localhost kernel: linkstatus=CONNECTED

    $ifconfig wlan0 up
    $ifconfig

    Anyone can tell me what the problem is ?

    Thanks
    Hill
