You are confusing two different things here.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loopback
The error you posted is an error in the package, has nothing to do with a loopback interface, just an infinite loop on dependencies.

it is most likely nothing that you can solve, it has to do with the repos you are using and their dependency resolution set up by the package maintainers being incorrect
