i need help with a linux modem driver ...
i have recently been searching for a conexant 56k hsf windmodem driver for linux and i found one, but its incompatiable.
so like a smart asss, i used hyper terminal to connect to com3, and used the AT command to check the modem and found its a
GENERIC SOTF56K VOCE, DATA, SPEAKERPHONE, CARP.
modem... and i was wondering if anyone knew where i could find the driver for it, {linux driver... }
prefereably *.tgz as i am using slackware... rpms, or tar.gz are fine.. well any help will be greatly appreciated

you're looking for linuxant drivers. there's no .tgz packages for your device, so you'll have to compile it from source:
http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hsf/...400full.tar.gz
but first read the installation instructions:

this works on all linux os's with the correct dependencies.. well anyway
its a conexant hsf 56k softmodem driver for linux.. here is the link..
