    [SOLVED] Setting up wireless

Hey everyone, I'm new to the linux community -started using Slax as of this morning.

I'm having trouble getting wireless set up for my Atheros AR9287, I found that Compat Wireless should get the thing to start working.

Problem is I have no idea what I'm doing setting it up.
Can anyone explain this to a total novice? Or have anything else that will get it to work?

    Thank you,
    Batman001

most atheros chipset drivers are part of the kernel. so there should be no driver problem. as of that, i would start with installing a application like wicd. call back if it doesnt work.
