    resolv.conf explanation


    Hello,

    Someone can me explaine what "domain" and "search" tags do in resolv.conf?

    if I dont set nameserver? does it have some effect?

    If i set nameserver? what is effect of these tags?

    /etc/resolv.conf

    contains Dns entries

    for example..if u two dns names

    10.69.10.11
    10.69.10.12

    above two ip addr sync with dns servers... when u restart the server

    service ntpd restart
    or
    ntpq -p
    if it is not syncing with dns servers

    ntpq -u 10.69.10.10
    ntpq -u 10.69.10.11

    if not call.. dns team to enter ur server..forward look and reverse look
