can't connect ubuntu to internet wired
Hi, guys.
I've got double boot vista/ubuntu, till recently everything was fine. I didn't use ubuntu for a few month and now i can't connect to internet (before ubuntu connected automaticly, as soon as i start it).
Now it show message "Wired network disconected - you are off line"
If i put my settings manually (IP,mask, gateway), is says "Auto eth0 - connection established" and show two arrows at networking sighn. But if i go to webbrowser it says "Server not found". My Windows boot works fine on the same line.
I stragled with it for few nights now, can't sort it out. PLEASE HELP.

Hello and Welcome.
I've moved your thread to the proper forum. Which Ubuntu are you using? Try posting the output of
Code:sudo lspci |grep -i net
After you boot up and it fails to connect, issue the dmesg command to find hints of what's happening. Post the output.Code:sudo lsmod
Code:sudo dmesg

Hello.
Thahks for reply.
i use Ubuntu 11.04.
I can't post the output as there is so much information, i can't copy/paste as my Ubuntu comp is not connected to internet and i am using my Windows laptop to go to net. Anything else i can do?
Before my Ubuntu connected to internet automatically, i don't know what happened.
Thank you

Thanks for posting your solution. For future reference you can copy the output to a USB drive or something to post it here from Windows.
