Hi,

I have a number of measuring devices that are able to push data to an FTP server over GPRS at regular intervals. These devices are presently situated in a lab, as is a machine on which I could install a FTP daemon.

Does anyone know if it is possible to configure a Linux box to act as a GPRS gateway in such a way that data can be pushed directly to the FTP server via the gateway without needing to go via mobile phone company networks? I'd ideally like the GPRS router to function in a similar manner to a home router + 802.11 access point.

Cheers,

Will
