how to internet access in centos

Hi,

winxp install in my desktop & centos 5.3 OS install in vmware wokstation
i m using internet in win xp but i want to use also access in vmware centos.
i m given ip , dns ip Alternet dns to centos . it asking a username & password, i m type username & password but it showing a massage that you are not allow to access it with static ip address.

pls hlep me i m new in linux

The network adapter should not have a static IP in the VM. Set the adapter to either bridge or NAT to ensure that it uses the connection from the host machine.
