[SOLVED] Host unreachable

Hi,

I am working on a pc and want a directory from a server on the pc
call pc y and server x

when i check the connection with ping from y to x there is no problem, package just sends normal.
but when i ssh into x and ping y i get the destination host unreachable?

what is the problem? how can it be fixed?

i am on redhat enterprise linux 5. i dont know what kind of server there is running because i didnt setup the server.

*SOLVED*

The pc and the server where not on the same range. one was at 172.16 other at 172.20 but luckily for me my pc had also an 172.20 adress wich i used then
