"cordless cables" :D
OK...heres how it goes...Im on a network without wireless and I have a laptop that I want to be able to move around while access the network. I cannot install a access point. I was thinking I could find/make a "plug" to put in an ethernet port on a router or something then plug something similar into my laptop's ethernet port. Basicly a cordless cable. Any ideas of a piece like that already made? If noone has ideas; are the cables in a ehternet network carring a constant voltage that fluctuates to transmit info or are they purely on/off?
