Unhappy NFS mount as root (disable nobody UID mapping)

I have a new CentOS 6.3 server setup with a large XFS volume and a NFS server running off of it. What I want it to have clients map to it with out the nobody UID mapping that happens on the client side. I have entered in no_squash_root in the exports file and run exportsfs -ra still no go. nobody:nobody owns everything. Please help.
