XMMS crashing when I press play

I recently had a power outage that knocked this PC out, no damage to it but ever since then XMMS crashes when i press play, I would like to know where to start in trouble shooting this, if it were windows i'd just reinstall, but id like to try and fix this, or if not, some proper procedures on re-installing software would be nice as well. I am running RH9, i think its 2.4-20.8 ( im not real sure),

To keep the drive mapped, you can use a startup script to mount it at boot time, if that is in fact WHEN you're talking about mounting it.
