    limit bandwidth over eth1

    Hi:

I have a nic (eth1) on a Suse box that is routed to a 40 Mb WAN link.
I want to limit the traffic sent to it to 35 Mb. It's target is another Suse box at a remote site.

I have been reading about tc but am unsure what type of queue would be the easiest to use and how to configure it.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

try using the "tc" command-line utility. You will also need the iptables and iproute2 packages.
