    For advice on selecting router

    Hi all,

    I'll install FTTH(Fiber-To-The-Home) Fibre Optic Broadband Network in the coming April, 100MB/100MB up/down. I'm now searching for a gigabit router with dd-wrt and openwrt support. Actually I need a cable router because I only have 2 PCs (each running virtualization with 10 VMs), installed in the same room and I don't need wireless. However seemly cable routers are phasing out and difficult to find with openwrt support.

    I found follows on searching;
    1)
    NetGear N600 Wireless Dual Band Router WNDR3400
    specs
    NetGear N600 Wireless Dual Band Router WNDR3400 Specs - Routers - CNET Reviews

    2)
    ASUS RT-N66U Dual-Band Wireless-N900 Gigabit Router, DD-WRT Open Source support,
    spec
    ASUS RT-N66U Dual-Band Wireless-N900 Gigabit Router - Newegg.com

    Comment and suggestion are appreciated.

    Any alternatives? Thanks

    Rgds

    This will be of interest if looking for a router, saw that some of the Asus routers are also vulnerable.
