Wireless connection very slow
Hi, I've installed madwifi and my connection seems to be incredibly slow compared to Windows. I generally have to wait 5-10 seconds for a webpage to open, it's like using dial-up!
Is there anything I can do to optimize this connection? My router specifically says the card must be set to Infrastructure mode, all I see is Auto, Managed, and Ad-Hoc in the settings, could that be why? I can get a connection with Auto and Managed, but not with Ad-Hoc.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Managed = Infrastructure = Access Point scenario
Ad-Hoc = One Wireless card feeding off another wireless card which is connected with a wired connection, so it's almost like taking a laptop and turning it into an AP.
As to the speed issue, how fast is your card?

My card and router are both capable of receiving @ 108mbps.
