Firewall hardware
My office has DS1-T1 connection from Verizon connecting directly to Cisco 1720 router which then connects to LinkSys DSL/Cable router/gateway which connects to 24 ports switches.
Verizon T1 -> Cisco 1720 Router -> DSL/Cable router -> 24 ports switch -> workstations.
Someone pointed out to me that the DSL/Cable router and 16 ports switch could be replaced simply by a firewall. I agree that the LinkSys DSL/Cable router is not so good in this situation. Can anyone recommend me a good firewall hardware with reasonable price?
Thanks,

Well what is reasonable to you? If you would like to stick w/Cisco the look at the PIX 500 series. You should be able to get a new one for $900 to $1000. Take a look on ebay and might be able to knock off a hundred or two. You could take a look at LINKSYS RV016. Made by Cisco Systems

Can get it new around $350 to $400 range. Again check ebay and may be knock some off the top. Hope this helps some.Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.

Just to add I would reather get a few Cisco smart hubs and do the following.
Verizon T1 -> Cisco 1720 Router -> 24 ports switch -> smart hub/s -> workstations.Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.
