I am setting up NIS on among three rednat 9 boxes. One of them is both server and client, another two are just clients.

Right now everything seems working. However when I use ypcat to check passwd or group, nothing shows up. While if I run ypcat on hosts, protocols and services, i can see the content of those maps.

I'd like to know why.
