heh i have the same nic actualy im on it rite now it works great with the ndiswrapper here is the l link to the directions for installing it and where to get the drivers for your nic...use the ones that the list of drivers says to use not the ones on your windows driver cd...better results!
[/url]http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/phpwiki/index.php/Installation?PHPSESSID=a6fcfc3d1cc4e81a9b98b64304a bfbbf[url]and the list of drivers is a link on that page.....and use the
    Code:
    lspci -n
    &
    Code:
    lspci
to fine the pci id of the nic then use that to get the proper driver from where the list links u to get it.
Also the ndiswrapper might already be in suse but just not configured!
i know it is included with SuSE 9.2

then after the nic is configged and the module loaded you need to start the nic the same way that you start anyother nic

I think driverloader is way easier and i have checked the faq on the driverloader website i think its a problem with the Router not detecting it.

Hello!! Im using ubuntu and I also have the wcp54g linksys pci adaptor

On device manager it detects my wireless device...

    I go to networks settings

and I put in th0 as my device
    .
    .
    root@ubuntu:/home/cusco # ../../sbin/ifconfig -a
    eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:08:0D:AB:E0:F5

    collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
    RX bytes:1794960 (1.7 MiB) TX bytes:495731 (484.1 KiB)

    lo Link encap:Local Loopback
    inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0
    inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope:Host
    UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1

    collisions:0 txqueuelen:0

    TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
    collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
    RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)
    .
    .

then I put the ssid which is linksys (it is on the router page)

and I put the automatic dchp (I could do it by hand thats not the problem)

I activate it... bu as soon as I take the cable out it won't connect..

I reboot and the only connection is the wireless but it just doesn't work

    help me!

    thanks in advance
