NEED HELP!!
I just downloaded KNOPPIX on to a cd and loaded it correctly.
However, I have verizon DSL and I'm not able to connect.
I'm getting frustratted. I like the software very much.
Why is it that linux is so difficult to set up? If it were easier it would blow windows away.
So can someone help me figure this out. in laymans terms?
Thanks alot

with a cable modem it should pretty much do it all it self.
BUT: there are a few acceptions to that rule.
what kind of ethernet card do you have?
has it been configured?
open a terminal and type:
"ifconfig eth0" as root user. and post what you see there.

How are you connecting the modem to the computer?
