router trouble
Hi
I have a dsl connection and have a belkin wireless router connected to the dsl modem and my computer is connected to the router with a cable.
I dont want other people to use my wireless connection.
But i want to access the wireless with my laptop.
Simple,I want to mac filter the stuff.
I am new to linux and dont know how to connect to my router. The manual says http://192.168.0.2 but that is not helping.
Is there any way that i can know what is my routers IP or configure my router?
thanks.

to get in touch with your router, first you have to be in the same subnet as the router. in this case, your ip have to be something like 192.168.0.52, and you would have to be connected wirelessly to the router. So, connect to your wireless network, get a same subnet IP and try again.
