    hey i cant use my modem on red hat 9, currently the only modem suporting OS i have, i think its cuz i have a winmodem, can anyone help me out or send me a link about configuring it 2 be a winmodem.

    YEE HAW, who needs a winmodem anyways, i went out and bought a US robotics 56k performance pro modem and its completely linux compatable. im writing this mesage on mozilla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I know that feeling of victory after you've been banging your head on a issue and then wham. It's fixed.

    Sometimes changing hardware component is the only way to practically get some stuff to run. It just depends on your budget and the amount of time you want to spend on it.
