Slackware And WinXP
I have access to a wondows xp network which has windows xp internet connection sharing set up. one of the pc's is connected to a usb adsl modem.
I have a newly installed slackware bow, that i wish to a)connect to the windows network, and b)share the conenction like the rest of the pc's.
Any ideas how to do this?
I have LISa installed and running already and have heard mutterings about Samba, but i'm a newbie and don't fully understand it.

i would like to say, i have fixed this myself.
in case anyone has a similar problem with slackware 10.1 (and up i guess) its important to make sure your network adapter drivers are loaded (read through "The Book" on slackware.com) and then set up the networking to dhcp.
Also - i use KDE3.3 and there is an option to use a proxy in the control center, choose that and tell it to automattically detect the proxy.
All should be fine then.
