Looking for a 802.11b Wireless Network Detector.
Hi I'm looking for a wireless network detector for Linux. I'm running Red hat 8 and maybe I'm just dumb but I couldn't find a tool that just displays the different wireless networks I could possibly connect to at that moment. I don't care if the tool has a GUI or is command line based I just simply want to be able to tell the various 802.11b networks I could connect to.
-Hope ya'll can help
Thanks,
Dexx

This in not a linux only thing but maybe helpful depend on what your exactly looking for. See http://www.this_site_does_not_exist/viewtopic.php?t=527
I don't have wireless on my linux machine but I do have it on several Windex machines. All of which can pickup other sigs from local sources with the software that come with the wireless nic.
Good Luck,Dan
