Will this modem work with Linux and FreeBSD???

I am pretty sure it will. But I want to make sure by asking you guys if it does. It says it is a hardware modem. It also says that it is a Intel Chipset on the box pictures.

A hardware modem should work. It's the software modems (winmodems) which require software (windows specific) to control the modems which don't work. Though I have never used a PCI hardware modem, so I can't say this for sure. Best thing to do is get an external serial modem. They all work with Linux. You can find them for under $20 if you look around enough.

My Lucent winmodem has drivers in Linux, so I don't need to buy one.
