cluster?
Hi,
I am in need of your opions please:
I have $170 lying around, and I can pick up 3 P3 500mhz Pc's for about $120 all together, I was wondering if it would be better to get those three computers or if I should get a 1.5ghz computer for $150, so I don't know what to do.
i could either make a cluster, or take the easy way and use a single desktop, which one should i do?
Also would I have to install the OS 3 different times and does it matter which flavour I use.
I also need to know how to set the cluster up.
Thanks

well, the first question is, what are you planning on doing with them?

if your using it for graphics, id say you'd be better off with the singular 1.5 ghz machine, as graphics programs tend to be resource intensive.
peace out, gizm0
