proxy/programming issues
I use Linux on a laptop upstairs, with a Windows laptop downstairs which has proxy+ installed. so I acn get about the internet just fine
I can not, however, ping any site I wish. Nor can I learn to program properly, as I don't know how the proxy works.
Is there a way to just, forward everything to the proxy? I have set the global proxy in the settings, and I can do apt-get install and such perfectly fine because I edited /etc/apt/apt.conf
I want my computer to just, act like it's connected to the internet alone.
I am a Windows C/++ programmer, and just made the move to Linux and I'm following Beej's guide, but I'm trying to write a simple ircbot, and it won't connect because of my proxy
What do you suggest?
