    Network neighborhood facility

    As we have network neighborhood in Windows, do we have similar facility in view the machines in the network...

    If yes then pls guide me as to its usage.......

    you can use LinNeighborhood .
    Thats what we use here on our LAN. Though I prefer nautilus in GNOME,
    where you can view other win* machines by typing smb:/// .

    P.S. This is for viewing win machines or machines running samba.
