perltk and its uses

i am developing a program using perl langauge, please guide me if perltk would be a solution for developing its GUI. what is perltk used for and does it support GUI for perl? Thanks alot im new to linux. Also please guide me if there is any other option available for making GUI in perl. Thanks

Hi fadiebia,
I am not much of a Perl programmer (in fact, I know very little Perl) but it looks as if Perl TK is a toolkit for Perl. This means it is a set of objects that you would be able to use to display certain elements on a screen (windows, buttons, textboxes...). So, this definetly seems like a solution for you if you want to make GUI's in Perl. The website for PerlTk is http://www.perltk.org/. As for other options, as I said, I am not much of a Perl programmer, so I can't be much of a help there.
