    Modem almost connects

    Hi all,
    Here`s my problem. I couldn`t connect to the internet via dial-up modem. Tracked down the problem to the drivers, Conexant modem got the drivers from Linxant. Installed the drivers everything looked and sounded great. But, now my modem dials in does it`s fax noise etc, and just when it should connect it cuts off and re-dials. I`ve looked at the settings in KPP and looked at the settings in XP everything looks like it should work. Any suggestions......Many thanks,

    Check your authentication protocols and server type once again in windows Xp and then adjust accordingly.

    Which dailer are u using?

    I wud recommend using KPPP as your dialer.
    It wud give u to configure your settings much easily.
