    iwconfig problem abuot changing Ad-Hoc mode

    Hello on start I want apologize for my english, I'm not familiar with English. Here is my question, I want to change the mode from Manged to Ad-Hoc.

    iwconfig wl0 mode Ad-Hoc

    The error gavem was :
    Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) :
    SET failed on device wl0 ; Operation not supported.

    Did you encounter the same problem as upon?
    How can I solve this?

    My best guess here is that your adapter do not support Ad-Hoc mode.
    You can check what features your adapter will support by issue command "iwpriv" as root or suid.
