    AT LAST!!!!

    I have just deleted the printer i installed and then reinstalled it using the administrator mode in printing manager.

    I put in the administrator password for the windows box - using the windows share name and not the IP and then manually selected the printer from the list and as a result managed to print exactly as i wanted.

    You're welcome...glad you got it working. All my Mac printed the first time was hex code too, and it was because it didn't have the right driver.

    I just replied to your sound card issue too
