I've heard that it's possible to make Firefox tell a website it is some other browser than Firefox. Does anybody know how to do this?...

I know Opera has that ability, but I'm not sure FireFox does.
To see what your options are set to in FireFox, type: about:config in the URL box.

There's a plugin for that. I don't know the name of the plugin so you will have to look for it

I know this is not highly relevant here but....
In windows you can go into the registry and change the details of the browser user agent.
This process is often used to look at web sites that are using cloaking - you do this by telling the web site that you are googlebot for instance, you then get the content that it dishes out for googlebot. You can often tell a cloaked site due to discrepancies in the google results and what oyu see in view ource.
I am sure there is probably a similar thing in linux? I am very new to linux so any suggestions and comments on this would be interesting.
