    nvm. if anyones interested, if your using fedora core you can go into filesystem, click on network, and pull down the file menu and go to connect to server

    if you want a web-based gui setup for samba, install swat. However, personally i find that writing the config file is better for me, and in my opinion the best samba tutorial is the one called "The unofficial Samba HOWTO". That tutorial may be long, but it tells you how to mount win directories and print from windows etc.
