Am I going to be able to share files with my Windows machines?

My internet connection is working great, but I'd like to know if there's any way to set up shared folders between a Windows machine and my Ubuntu computer. I'm relatively new to Linux, and definitely new to anything network related in Linux.

Yes. Samba is the program to use for this. It does entail a fair amount of configuration so I recommend you search this site for more info since the subject comes up frequently. There is also good documentation available by googling. Infact there is a recent thread about this on our Ubuntu (Debian) fourum.
