Ubuntu Internet Connection
I am a complete noob to Linux. I recently installed Ubuntu on my laptop. I want to have internet access, but my home (still with my parents) has Bellsouth FastAccess DSL with a LAN set up. To connect, I have to install BellSouth FastAccess software and 2Wire Gateway (which is the broadband server) software, both of which require Windows. Would Wine be the answer? Or dual-booting? I am really in the dark, and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, if this is of any help, I cannot just plug into the phone jack. It requires a 2Wire filter. (which I have)
